The Science Curriculum At
Kellman Brown Academy

Lower School Science Program

Through the elementary school science curriculum, students develop their sense of curiosity and wonder about themselves and the world around them through active involvement in scientific activity and discovery. Students explore life science, earth science, human biology, and physical science through experimentation, teamwork, and individual inquiry. Collaboration with grade level teachers and specialist teachers further enhance the integration of science into all aspects of student life and learning.

 Middle School Science Program

The science curriculum at Kellman Brown Academy offers students an explanation of the scientific principles of the natural world. The presentation of concepts include lecture, hands-on activities, demonstrations, short and long term projects, and differentiated instruction. Sixth grade students study earth science; seventh and eighth grade students study life science and physical science. Essentially, students are taught to be independent thinkers and learners in preparation for a successful high school experience in the field of science.
